A Living Hope

“Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! According to his great mercy, he has caused us to be born again to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead” (1 Peter 1:3, ESV)

For today’s post, I thought to change things up. I have had a lot of people ask about the Resurrection Sunday 2024 sermon. So, with a bit of work, I was able to produce an acceptable video. Here it is with the outline.

A Living Hope – he resurrection of Jesus is our hope for tomorrow.
  • People labor in vain to save themselves from the problem of sin. (Romans 3:23; Isaiah 64:6; Psalm 38:4; Jeremiah 17:9; Psalm 44:21)
  • Jesus died on a cross to solve the problem of sin and its penalty. (Isaiah 53:6; 1 Corinthians 15:3)
  • People can only escape the power of sin by faith in Jesus. (Ephesians 2:8-9; John 3:16; 1 Peter 2:24; 2 Corinthians 5:21)
  • The resurrection of Jesus is the believer’s guarantee of victory. (Romans 4:25; 1 Peter 1:3)
